Mini Meal Maker Masala

Mini Meal Maker Masala - Meal Maker is nothing but the soya chunks. We get this meal maker in different sizes. The one I have used for this recipe is the small ones. As we all know, soya is a healthy food which is rich in protein. We can make lot of recipes using soya and meal makers. I have made this recipe in the same way how I make chicken Masala but using less spices. Here, I have made the masala little dry, but you can make it with some gravy by increasing the amount of onion and tomatoes. This curry goes well with rice and chapati.

Mini Meal Maker Masala

Preparation Time : 15 Minutes | Cooking Time : 30 Minutes | Serves : 4

Mini Meal Maker - 1 Cup
Onion - 2 No.
Toamto - 2 No.
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp.
Chicken Masala - 1 tbsp.
Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup.
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs.
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp.
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp.
Oil - 1 tbsp.
Salt to taste

1. Boil one cup of meal maker for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain it from water and allow it to cool.
2. Squeeze out as much water as possible from the meal maker and keep it ready.  Slice the onions and tomatoes. Peal the ginger and garlic and make a fine paste.
3. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard splutters, add the onion and curry leaves. Saute till the onion becomes soft. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste vanishes.
4. Add tomato and cook till the tomatoes become mushy.
5. Add turmeric powder, chicken masala and salt. Mix well and cook till the masala smell goes off.
6. Add the squeezed meal maker and mix well. Cover and cook till the meal maker and masala blends well.
7. Add grated coconut and mix well.
8. Add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the flame

Meal Maker Masala is ready to serve. Serve this with chapati, roti or rice.
