Mutton Chops

Mutton Chops, wow! I start to drool when I hear its name. Many of us would have tasted mutton chops at restaurants. I just love it! So I decided to try preparing the same at home. There are many methods in which they make the mutton chops. Few make it like a curry and some make it dry. Here I have tried the fried one. It came out really really well and it tasted wonderful. Would you like to try it? Follow the steps in the recipe.

Mutton Chops

Preparation Time : 10 Minutes | Cooking Time : 30 Minutes | Serves : 4

Mutton Chops - 1/2 Kg
Lemon - 1 No.
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp.
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp.
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp.
Oil for frying.
Salt to taste

To Grind 1
Garlic - 10 Cloves.
Ginger - 1 inch piece.

To Grind 2
Fennel Seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Pepper Corns - 1/4 tsp.
Cinnamom Stick - 2 inch piece
Cloves - 5 No.
Cardamom - 3 No.
Poppy Seeds - 1/4 tsp.

To Grind 3
Coriander Leaves - 2 to 3 sprigs
Mint Leaves - 3 to 4 sprigs.

1. Keep all the ingredients ready for making Mutton Chops.
a. Wash the mutton pieces.
b. Peel the ginger and garlic and wash it.
c. Squeeze the juice of one lemon.
2. Grind the ingredients given under section "To Grind 1", "To Grind 2" and "To Grind 3" separately.
3. Take a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients except mutton chops and mix well to make a paste. (Ginger garlic paste, ground spice powder, coriander-mint paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, lemon juice and salt)
4. Add the mutton pieces to the masala and marinate the mix for about an hour.
5. After one hour, Heat oil in a frying pan and start frying the mutton chops in batches. Once the chops are cooked well on all sides and turns brown color, transfer them to a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.

Tasty Mutton Chops is ready to serve.
