Sweet Adai

Sweet Adai, this is one of the very very easy sweet dish. This can be taken as a snack or breakfast. We usually make adai using different type of lentils along with other spices. But this is a little different dish which can be made instantly and easily. As we all know, kids always love sweets. Hence this will be one of the kids favorite food. You can even pack this for your kids lunch box / snack box. OK... Let me show you how to make this Kids Special Adai.

Sweet Adai

Preparation Time : 20 Minutes | Cooking Time : 15 Minutes | Serves : 3

Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Maida / All Purpose Flour - 1 Cup
Jaggery - 1/2 Cup
Banana - 2 No.
Cooking Soda - a pinch
Salt - a pinch
Oil - as required

1. Keep all the ingredients ready to make Sweet Adai. Mix the jaggery with 1/4 cup of water till the jaggery is completely dissolved. Once dissolved, filter the jaggery water to remove any dirt or impurities.
2. Add the wheat flour and all purpose flour to the jaggery water. Peel and add the bananas to the flour. Smash the bananas and mix it with the flour. Note: If you are not comfortable in smashing the bananas, you can also grind it in blender and add it.
3. Add required amount of water and mix it to make thick batter which should be thicker than bhajji batter. Add salt and cooking soda to the batter and mix well. Set it aside for about 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, Heat a dosa tawa, take a ladle full of batter and pour in on the hot tawa.
4. Wet you hands with water and spread the batter to make a thick circle. Let it cook on medium flame. Add little oil around the adai. Once cooked, flip it to other side and cook till done. 

Easy Kids Special Sweet Adai is ready to serve.
