How to Cook Tapioca Roots?

How to Cook Tapioca Roots? There are two ways in which we can cook tapioca. First method is to add tapioca pieces in a wide pan and add enough water, cook with the lid closed until the tapioca is cooked. The next method is to pressure cook it. The one I am going to show here is pressure cooking the tapioca. When you are pressure cooking, the number of whistle depends on the tapioca used. You can identify this when you cut the tapioca, if it is really hard to cut then you need to cook for more whistle. If it is easy to cut, it will cook even in one whistle. OK, lets see how to cook it...


Ingredients:
Tapioca Root - 4 No.
Garlic - 15 Cloves
Turmeric Powder -  1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Peel the skin of tapioca root, wash them and cut them into big pieces. Add the cleaned tapioca roots in pressure cooker and add enough water to immerse the roots.
2. Peel the garlic cloves and roughly crush them.
3. Add the crushed garlic to the tapioca roots in pressure cooker. Add turmeric powder and salt.
4. Mix it  well and close the lid of pressure cooker. I cooked this root only for one whistle. As I mentioned above, it purely depends on the tapioca roots. If you feel it doesn't cook in one whistle, go for 2 or 3 whistles.

Here is the steamed tapioca roots. You can eat this as such, or you can make some snacks using this steamed roots. I will post some recipes using this steamed roots soon...
