Gobi Masala

Gobi Masala, this is a simple and easy to make recipe using a basic onion tomato gravy. This dish can be used as side dish for any Indian bread varieties like chapati, roti, naan, etc. Also, this can be served with any rice varieties or plain steamed rice. we are not going to add too much spices in this dish, so even kids will like this.

Cauliflower - 1 No.
Onion - 3 No.
Tomato - 2 No.
Ginger Garlic Paste -  1 tsp.
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp.
Turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp.
Garam Masala - 1 tsp.
Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Corinader Leaves - few strings
Oil - 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste

1. Cut the cauliflower into medium sized florets. Boil water in a pan and add little salt and turmeric powder. Add the cauliflower florets and allow it to boil for about 3 minutes. Switch off the flame.
2. Drain the water from cauliflower florets. Finely chop the onions and tomato. Prepare the ginger garlic paste and keep it ready.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds. When the fennel seeds sizzle, add the chopped onions.
4. Saute the onions till transparent and add the ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell of the ginger garlic paste vanishes. Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute for a minute.
5. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and saute for few seconds. Add Garam masala, cumin powder, pepper powder and mix well.
6. Cook on medium flame till the tomatoes become soft and mushy. Add the boiled cauliflower florets and mix well.
7. Nicely mix the florets so that it is well coated with the masala. Cook till the cauliflower is fully cooked. Add chopped coriander leaves and give it a mix
Tasty Gobi Masala is ready to serve with hot steamed rice or chapati.
