Bhindi Dry Masala

Bhindi Masala, this is a popular North Indian dish. Bhindi is nothing but lady's finger / okra. This is one of the easy to make dish without lot of preparation except the time taken to cook the lady's finger in low flame. Try this dish and enjoy.


Ingredients:
Lady's Finger - 25 No.
Chili Powder - 1 tsp.
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp.
Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp.
Sesame Seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Peanuts - 1 tbsp.
Grated Coconut - 1 tbsp.
Oil - 3 tbsp.
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Wash the lady's finger and pat dry. Cut the stem and bottom of the lady's finger. Chop the ladies finger into thin slices.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add the sliced lady's finger and saute for few minutes until the stickiness goes off completely. Now add the chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
3. Keep stirring till the vegetable is completely cooked and turns light brown color.
4. Dry roast peanuts, sesame seeds and grated coconut separately and cool it to room temperature.
 5. Grind the roasted ingredients into a paste.
 6. Add the paste to the lady's finger and mix well. Cook on low flame for 2 more minutes and switch off the flame.
Tasty Bhindi Masala is ready to serve with hot rice, chapati or roti.
